The purchase of my very first pocket camera at the age of eleven for the then princely sum of
100 Austrian Schillings, marked the beginning of my life as a photographer.
Today images form the content of my life, What but music and my camera would I take to the desert island? The photographer’s eye perhaps and the restless longing to transpose this world into images.

Reduce but do not restrict, define but do not judge, take part but do not interfere, shape but do not change. Photography is like a mistress ,who wants your entire soul, your undivided attention, not to be shared with anyone.

And so the camera has been with me throughout my life. I have been to many places around the world, become familiar with some, really understood only a few. No matter what, photograpy has always forced me to define my very personal point of view.
Truth, however, lies in the eye of the beholder even in photography. For an entire life.
